I know exactly what it is...a village that seems to be stuck in time...I even have a photo that is similar in some way to this(not so good as yours, of course!).Great photo you have here.

Very good choice for the B/W, it emphases the old look ..you did well on the composition to ...For the modern look of the border i'm not sure though ..
