Hello,
I took this photo on my vacation in Croatia with my zoomlens. Sorry, I don't have a macro lens. So I did some cropping on the picture.
Hope you still like it.
Only I don't know the name of this creature, someone an idea?
Have a nice day,

CONGRATS.

Hoi Annelies,
groeten,
Joop!

I don't know the exact name of this insect, but I can tell you that surely it's a fly. I know, it resembles a bee, or a wasp, but you can notice the big, composite eyes: these are typical of flyes. It is a so called "false-wasp" (I don't know exactly the specie), the evolution gift it a black and yellow painted body, therefore it appears like a dangerous insect, so the birds will not eat it! a simple surviving trick...
By the way, good picture
Hoi Annelies,
