The tones of the sea correspod well with the cap, those of the stones with the skin. The reflected light is just perfect for the purpose.

beautiful portrait and beautiful colors, beautiful clearness too but I find that there is too much water to the top of its head.
to cross a little to the top of the hat would be well.

An all around wonderful shot Carmela. Realy love seeing a water background. Is the subject a relative of yours? Yes and the expression that you caught is priceless.

*Is interesting, here I am revisting my own Critique after some months and I find that I see this shot so differently, now I see the contrast between the great sharpness and clarity of the face and hat against the softness of the water. Most interesting.

That is a nicely done portrait taken under sunlight which sometimes is hard to get good results but you did a fine job!
