Very dramatic composition Carmela. Your composition is perfect using the both at low level to lead into the picture in fact it makes the picture. The addition of black and white had really emphasised the grandeur of the shot. Marvellous picture. Well done.

Elle est triste cette route, rien que devant soi ,"The road towards ?" et je ne sais pas nager . Mon destin est scellé. Cette digue est une belle représentation de la vie et le choix du Noir est excellent car il reflète vraiment la réalité du moment .

It is like the place at the port of Propriano where I have this walk every time I am there ... except that in your shot the sea is on both sides ... and as you say it is straight ahead and no other way, no left way, no right way ... one way, that way !!!
Great shot, nice idea of the B&W and effective composition.

While the picture seems to lack some sharpness, the composition is just wonderfully extreme as it puts the man at the very top border, oppressed by the perspective. Nice general effect.

hi carmela,
I would not prefer to go for such a walk of life:-) one should have the right to choose .this pic well defines its' subject and the people at the ending point make the pic work.your DOF is excellent.I couldn't understand how the sea was calmer at the right side.
