Hi Filip...Fine photo here. Nice DOF and your focus is very good.
Poor flower looks pretty bad, but bugs gotta do what bugs do!.............:O)

Something different from you which is good as it is great to be able to develop your talent taking different type of pictures. You manage the DOF very nicely which kept the flower & the bug in focus and blurred the background enough to give a nice backdrop to the flower. It is interesting that the bug is upside down and your title is right on.

I agree with Hima that there might be a bit too much around your flower so I did a little workshop to show you what I think could be done. Actually, I think that this flower (despite being a bit beaten up) deserve the centre of attention so I cropped the picture a bit. I hope you don't mind as think that what I present is just another way to look at your flower.

Well done and keep shooting!

Oldicno si ga ulovio Filipe!
Ovo je inace moja omiljena buba, jer nije agresivna i bojazljiva, i ako je uzmes u ruku nece bjezati i sto je najbolje, nece te gristi.
:-))

:-))

Good macro of the bug eating his dinner. By the look of the flower petals it was really hungry. Nice work on the focusing Filip. You must have a good steady hand to take this without a tripod. It's fun chasing bugs, but very hard to capture with a camera. You did a fine job. I like Tintin's workshop with the square format. Keep up the good work.
I'm still waiting for Metej to post his photo of you with your camera. He makes me wait too long (smile).

HI Filip... A very good shot! I love the DOF :) Yes! Like Kathleen says, the flower is in a pretty bad shape.. But, good that U have noticed as its a rare kind of post on TL :) U could crop a little on the left so that it is off-centre. Centre subjects donot make good composition :) Overall, a very nice take... sharp and detail... The Bugs' color goes well with the color of the flower. Nice contrast. :) Thanks for sharing... :)

Take care...
- Hima.
