Carmela this is a good story telling shot, the subject full of character. I do believe this is a case in which a little fill flash would have helped light her better. Well done, B

Hi Carmela,

Well done on this capture. Excellent composition and colors. The lighting sets the mood.

She has uncanny resemblance to a lady who used to work as cook, housekeeper, nanny in our house when I was a boy and who passed away one year after I married. She even had a mole on one cheek. Her name was Cecilia Rozario. And we used to love her as much as we loved our grandmothers. She was a great cook. Her Mutton Vindaloo (look it up on the Net) was out of this world.
I guess Brent is right. A fill in would have helped.

I recognize this face... Is she the same woman you've done a b&w portrait?
Great compo .. I like the details

hi Carmelia,
I like the details, sharpness and expression on the old lady's face here. A great shot.

I remember a great portrait of her, and this one is also very good. I love the way you used the afternoon light not only to show the ages on her face (an old trick with wrinkles) but also to show the time she "carries with herself" in that huge shadow. Very good shot, TFS!
