Very interesting shot. I really like the shape, but it's just a bit stark for me. For years I have been interested in learning how to do this, but in color, sort of like a color sketch. So, at the risk of sticking my nose in where it doesn't belong, COULD you do this in color?

This shot caught my eye in the gallery, and upon seeing it larger I can only say wow! Superb timing in catching the movement. The b&w works for me - makes you wonder whether this is a photo or an ink sketch.

Beautifully done, Carmela. The composition is wonderful and I like the zigzag lines in the water and the bird taking off or landing against all of the white as if it was going to the unknown. Excellent!

Pushing contrast makes this work very well, but I'm pretty sure this is a good photograph in natura too!

wonderful shot in perfect time and moment.
is not always got moment like this in the right position for shot your camera. but you so lucky. nice B&W colors choice and very nice contras and sharpness, specially wings reflection on waters and create the X characters.
