At the wedding in Sibenik, in part of Croatia named Dalmatia, still exist very old custom of "buying the bride". The groom came with his family and friends and ask for his bride. Her family ask some money but he don't want to give them. Than, her side give a first false bride. Usually it is a man funnny dressed as a bride. After mannny negotiations, 2 or 3 false brides, groom give some money and they give him a real one.

This man with a beer , cover in curtain was wery funny acting a bride.

Very nicely done, Carmela! Great clarity, but mostly, excellent composition with so many elements: the man, the beer bottle, the bouquet, the old house in the background. A pleasure for the eyes!

the humour of the custom is evident from the picture, nicely composed image, crisp and well lit picture has captured the occasion.

Good shot with lot of interesting details. Too bad DOF isn't more shallow, because the roof in the background is too sharp. Not it goes right through guy's head :(

Hi Carma,
How funny! The Vietnamese culture also had a similar tradition. I remember when one of my older brother got married, we also did similar...but, we also had to bring gifts and a roasted whole pig (which we dropped on the sidewalk by mistake...ooops). Anyhow, very nice cultural shot. Well seen.
