[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Bob sent me to go out:"....the sun is shining, it is time to go out", he probably wanted some Peristil photos, but it was to hot today to go anywhere except on my terace where this beauty was waiting for me.
This is a cactus flower, that lasts just one day. I had a few days before in the same time 10 peaces (that is something not very usual, and hard to achieve)...and I was away...:((( I havent even seen them. Today 3, 3 more in preparation, and for this year it is over.
My first photo which I have ever uploded on any photo site was of this flower.

My daughter get a new camera for her confirmation this sunday. It is a compact Olympus PS500 UZ. Nice and good camera. It even has a possibility of shooting in RAW. And this one is my first RAW image. :)

Hello again. Lovely composition, good lighting work. Excelent job. Well done. :O)

Nice textures and I always fall for shadows :) but I miss a bit of colour here but I guess that the flower was too lite by the sun. Nice to see new hardware in your hands.
PS welcome to the world of RAW shot - now the things get even more complicated but also more intersting :)

The white of the flower against the grey textured wall and black shadow emphasizes the brevity of the flower's glory. I'm glad you were there to capture it. Composition (rule of thirds, nice diagonal line) is right on. This is a spare and effective photo that contains the mood you have clarified in your photographer's note. Only caviat is one of personal taste, you prefer white frames, I don't - so be it! It's a "no nevermind".

How do you like working with raw? I've just started and it gives a lot of flexibility, but takes up too much room and doesn't work well for action photos as it takes to long too load in my camera's buffer.

odlicno jelena, samo mislim da bi ekspoziciju trebala izmjeriti na laticama i onda malo dodati korekciju ako je ima na kameri.
mislim da su latice mrvicu spaljene, ali sad sam vec poceo i cjepidlaciti, sorry :-).
ne znam tko ce uzivati u novoj kameri, ali tebi cu reci, UZIVAJ!
