[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
A fountain on Marmontova Street (near the fish market) in Split, Croatia

(you can see in ws the other part of the fountain)

This is a Croatian hand gesture called 'figa' and it's a sign of defiance made in the face of obstacles. The 'monument' was erected in the 1990s, when Split was in the middle of a depression, high unemployment and with the war going on, Split decided to move on and showed it's 'figa' to the world.

Good thing you showed the other part of the fountain,as this leaves you wonder if it was spraying passerbys.
Very original and no doubt one of the most popular photography catch by tourists.
