[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Hello! I see lots of You upload complete travelogues onto TL. Unfortunately I don't travel so much, first of all I momentarily can't afford to, pro secundo I have a little baby (2 years old, see my photo "Twins?"), who's difficult to travel with yet. So I decided to upload an old travelogue from 2002, in one collage. We were in Vrboska, Croatia (Hvar Island).
At that time I haven't had a digital camera, only an old Ricoh AF-5 dinosaur (even without zoom function at all...), so some of the compos differs a lot from the way I should do them now, but I trust You'll enjoy this collage in this form, too. Tried to include the pieces from time to time, from different places and cities. Of course all photos are scanned (used technique: HP PSC 1500). Let's see:

1st row (from left to right): 1. Arrival to Split at ca. 5 o'clock A.M. 2. My son says "hello" to Vrboska 3. The channel (Vrboska situates on the parts of a channel, so You sometimes have to walk surprisingly lot in the town if You don't own a boat)
2nd row: 1. My son, throwing stones into the water 2. He's in the sea 3. The northern seaside of Hvar Island
3rd row: Vrboska from the church 2. The channel, beginning to widen out 3. see point 1
4th row: 1. Sightseeing from the fortress of Hvar City 2. Hvar City, corso, with the fortress in the background 3. Jelsa, corso
5th row: 1. Goodbye to Vrboska 2. The ship we travelled on back to Split, closed to the port of Starigrad 3. Split again, at dinner-time

Technically: I chose a simple template from HP PhotoSmart Essential and placed the photos. I tried several various backgrounds, even other Hvar-photos in PS, but decided to color the template to simple black.

Hi Laszlo,

That's a nice overview you made there and I agree that the black background helps well to keep the attention to the shots! That does look like a peaceful vacation location. Nice one.
But why did you go for 15 shots in one collage? Why didn't you make 2 collages of 6 shots? Quite some of these pictures are worth being a bit bigger! :-)

This is realy a fantastic collage of Croation coast in its splendour. Brings good memmories to me..
Years ago I went there by car.. all the way on the coast line
(Jadranska migistral) to a little town,''Biograd na Moru' (close to your Split and Zadar) So.. I recognise what you are talking about. wery well done László ..

Szerintem nagyon jó lett, még ha szkennelt is! Az első, harmadik és negyedik sor képei egyenként is megállták volna a helyüket!

Szuper joll sikerüllt, akkor is ha skennelted a képeket. Én is probáltam pár régebi képet skennelni, de mindig van rajtuk egy csomo munka, ujra helyre hozni. Mindenesetre az osszeálitás szuper jó. Üdvözlet Clanyi
