[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Here we are standing at one of the entrances to the old moravian town of Slavonice , Czech Republic. For obvious reasons a sign has been put up to restrict access to large vehicules , indeed it would not be wise to let in anything bigger than a motorcycle.Cars are allowed in with a permit of residence.
Played with desaturation a little , perhaps with the idea of reinforcing the limitation ,the 'restraint' this sign was meant for, well anyway a part of it is for fun too...
F/4.1/250 contrast,highlights and saturation of the sign itself, frame added ,resize and sharpen .

I like this, good contrast and a really interesting pov..very effective, can I put this in my "back streets and alleys" theme?

As you know Carol, these type of mix B&W/colour appeal to me. You've done a top job with this one.

hi carol.

i like the selective desaturation on this one. gave more focus on the building and reinforcing the feeling of history. the color sign had an impact on its own too. very good idea.

this seems to be a quiet place since no noisy vehicles are allowed
well composed and the red contrasts beautifully with the b/w rest

Hi Carol,
I really like the grainy, rough textures visible here. The patchy grey and white tones of the walls create a nice rustic effect. The way the red sign has been cut makes the composition more interesting, ensuring the sign itself doesn't steal too much attention. Very nice sense of distance and nice layering effect of the buildings. Well done yet again!
