Hi Teresa,
Once again you present a powerful portrait! You know exploit any variations of light so cleverly!
The references at Velasquez or Renaissance style is so right! You created a timeless mood emphasized by the strong contrasts, the almost clair-obscur effect and the pose of this beautiful woman who knows how to keep up her mystery showing only her profil under her large hat.
The red coat on her arm and the good green background make simply an effective counterpoint at this magnificent lady! My congratulations, dear friend!

As always, your portraits communicate so much about your subjects, even where their faces are not seen. One can tell from her posture, the set of her mouth and the way she is holding her hands that she is waiting for someone. The colorful jacket looks great held against her black dress. What an intense picture. Really like how you've work with the space, using that bright red gardement. It's quite well composed and executed. Right exposure, nicelly high saturated colors, just as I like it. The off scheme skin color, is quite interesting, and set a special mood. ( hard to describe the feeling of it...))) so I won't.
