[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Das Stift in Vyšší Brod ist fast schon 750 Jahre lang ein geistliches und kulturelles Zentrum Südböhmens. Es wurde im Jahre 1259 von Vok von Rosenberg gegründet, und die ersten 12 Mönche kamen hierher mit ihrem Abt aus dem Zisterzienserkloster in Wilhering bei Linz. Das Klosterleben in Vyšší Brod blieb ganze sieben Jahrhunderte lang unberührt. Das erste Mal wurden die Ordensbrüder im Jahre 1941 von den Nazis verjagt, im Jahre 1950 wurde das Kloster von den Kommunisten aufgehoben. Heute lebt hier wieder eine Kommunität von Mönchen, die sich bemüht, das Ordensleben und die verfallene Klosteranlage zu erneuern.


Pin in Vyšší the Brod is nearly already 750 years long a religious and cultural center Südböhmens. It was created in the year 1259 by Vok of Rosenberg, and the first 12 monks came here with their abbott from the Cistercian monastery into Wilhering with Linz. The monastery life in Vyšší Brod remained whole seven centuries long untouched. The first time the medal brothers were chased away in the year 1941 by the Nazis, waived in the year 1950 the monastery by the communists. Today lives here again a coming universityty of monks, which itself endeavors to renew the medal life and the purged monastery plant.

A fine piece of ancient architecture has been captured!
The four towers pointing to the sky give a dynamic impression, and the buildings are well framed...
I notice the need for some maintenance, hopefully it will be carried out before too late!
