[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
During our last holiday to the Czech Republic we not only visited praag, but also the eastern country side. The country is lovely, as can be seen on this photo.

Hay is stacked up in many different ways and this way is one of them. There is also a variant with plastic hats on them, so the rain doesn't harm the drying grass too much.

In the workshop an other example can be found.

Hi Joop,
I absolutely love this view. Both this way and the way of haymaking in the workshop I have never seen before.
In Norway they have yet another way. I really like to see all these different ways.
In a way these small haystacks blend in with the trees...

Cheers,
Anneke

Wow ... impressively obelisk-like hay bales, certainly not the sort seen in NZ. Good light and a nice, simple, singleminded shot of your subject.
Well done

hello Joop,
your haystacks are enchantingly old fashioned. i wish we still had them here in the UK. All we see now are ugly black plastic rolls. The haystacks in your picture look like people about to gather for an important meeting...perhaps to choose you has their chief photographer!

Hi Joop,
Realy nice original shot, good light, contrast and composition. I like the wide variety of green in your picture.

Typisch mooie hooioppers !

Nice pastoral scene. The uniform rows of the hay is interesting. The rugged background adds even more interest. Those hills must be straight up.

Hi Joop,

Very lovely scenery, Joop! It's like an art like crop-circles :)
Good vantage point and perspective. I like it a lot! :)

Hi there!

Beautiful and a neat image here. I like the way you have captured a series of those grass-bundles without even a single one exactly behind the other. A good angle and position.
Congrats and thanks for sharing!:D
Cheers!

Interesting and gorgeous shot of simple rural life! These haystacks indeed remind me of obelisks.
Good perspective, light and sharpness, it's all said above:-)
I think I would prefer a black frame, especially for around the sky.

Many compliments, this is really a beautiful landscape whith warm andd beautiful colours.
ciao
franco

Hi Joop,
A remarkable shot this. I've never seen so many haystacks in one place! Love the subtle shades of green and how you've inluced the pine trees in the b/g.

Subashini
