[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
In this photo you see the astronomical clock which is build on the wall of the cityhall ...... at the outside!!
Everyday at noon music is played, and a show is given by the clock. Normally lots of tourist are waiting for its show. When we visited Olomouc, there were about 50 tourist watching it.
As you can see there are figures in the middle, and they move. In the workshop you see a enlarged version of the figures, and as you can see these things can move in circles.

The clock is build in the year 1750 and is still functioning, while the weather and pigeons are doing their jobs now for about 250 years in trying to destroy this instrument (rain, wind, sun, birdshit). So, quality was already there in 1750.

An explanation of a astronical clock can be found via this link.

Een werk van "Zimmer"-toren?
Mooi opgenomen Maar hoe laat is het nu!

From the WS, pigeons are hard at it trying to destroy the works, lol!
This is a very sharp (maybe too sharp, see above) picture - great pov and informative note.
There is a similar clock in Vienna which is also watched by tourists at noon....seems to have been a trendy installation in those days.
Cheers
Otto

He Joop,

Interessante prent. Eigenlijk is de workshopprent nog mooier. Die poppen met duivenpoep erop vertellen ook een aardig verhaal.
Knappe registratie.

Hendrik

Hi Joop,

Great and very interesting shot and note! Weren't they clever in the old days?? Amazing... Well done, TFS! Bianca.

Hello Joop!!
For me very interesting..this clock is very beautiful..unique..
thanks..
Nice evening for you and your wife!!

Els
