[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The title of this photo refers to what these two girls seem to be saying to the boy on the bike. And they are exactly the age where they would start saying that, well knowing that roller blades are slower than bikes in most cases. I was standing far away and using the full zoom on the FZ20 against the sun, so it was a tricky shot. But I liked the joyfulness of these young people racing along the sidewalk in a quiet suburbian area of Prague.

Technically it was difficult to prepare this for the web, and I am not sure to have succeeded. I used contrast enhancement, adjusted the color balance and clarified, all to get more light on their faces which were quite dark in the original. But after that I had generated so much noise I had to filter that out. And finally after resizing I had to use unsharp mask to sharpen without sharpening too much. Probably too much of a good thing, but what do you do when the original isn't good enough, but you want to squeeze it all you can? If anyone asks me, I will post the original as workshop for comparison.

Very wel seen Per! And indeed, I fully agree with you, they are on the brink of getting interest in/having interest in the boys pursuing them...

Dont worry about your photo, it is the combination with the story which makes it just perfect! I can imagine you have suffered from shooting against the light, so I guess your main problem was to get it bright enough. And when the brightness and contrast are sufficient, you end up with noise...

I think you did a great job in dealing with you problems!

Every picture tells a story and this one certainly reminds me of those years. Nicely done. B

Very good real life shot Per, you have caught it well. I can nearly hear the youngsters thoughts through your picture. TFS

Catch us if you can?? Well, that's a perfect title for this photo and that also makes the composition work so well ;-) It's an action photo Per!
Good capture ;-)

Ana

What they are saying to him, or what he wants to say to them. Anyway for shooting against the sun I think this came out very well. The exposure looks good and the backlit hair is a nice touch.

belle image de la vie quotidienne!
un bon moment decisif!
bravo!
bye....tanbinh.

Shooting into the sun is always a difficult situation, but sometimes to get the shot we want we have to, and then we spend quite some time trying to rescue the image at home. You're right Per, this one is full of youthfullness. What I like is that all the people have only one foot on the ground, except for the boy on his bike. A nice 'happy' shot.

Why not enhance the grain etc. and put it in your FIUL theme, Per ? For me it qualifies in all aspects. Well seen, and the title is spot on. TFS.
