Getting things into perspective

| I wanted to capture the interestign perspective and mood of this ballroom/ gallery in Hensingor castle. taken with the zoom at 13mm with the camera placed on the ground. There is no artificial light in the room and it was a gloomy day (ISO 3200 so a lot of noise). Yes I know the verticals are not vertical. I have another version of the photo withthe perspective corrected and the shadows lightened but I prefer this version. I will post my other version as a workshop. All views on the merits or otherwise of vertical verticals or other aspects of the photo will be appreciated. |

I think I prefer the workshop version because of the ceiling containg more detail, it adds something to the picture. I like the POV here and the light hitting the floor from the windows is very cool. Thanks for submitting.
Hello Gareth, I love the perspective and the unvertical lines. You know what, I prefer photos that are not so perfect like digital do or PP does. I prefer photos more like film negatives do but with digital cameras. If I can make myself understood :)
Great composition and pov. I don't see noise even if you say that iso is 3200. Did you correct it with neat image?
Take care. Yan
This is a very good architectural study Gareth. I like the strong graphic impact purveyed by the repetition of the windows, the low PoV and and the reflections. Due the uncorrected perspective distortion and dark shadows there's also some dramatism here. Very nice.

Gareth, where is the noise???? :-)
The angle is remarkable, good it was so clean that the camera could easily lie on the ground (with you? :) I am looking forward to the other version too. Great eye!
