Tsuri Komi Goshi - Lifting Pulling Hip Throw...that's as close you might get in english.
It's a very powerful throw once you get the grip.
This is part of the Naga no Kata, as these friends of mine are doing their best to show in our local judo club Kodokan.
Judo is lovely sport, and once you get in to it, you're stuck for life. I did many years ago and I have enjoyed many sides of this strong sport.
Take a look at Uchi Mata here if you like to. |

Hi Jan,
Nicely captured and well done on the composition.
Mike
Hej Jan.
Fanget i det rigtige sekund. Kompositionen er rigtig fin.
Daniel.
Hi Jan
Nice capture... ISO setting of 1600 - I must admit it seems impressive with the full frame sensor!
I wouldn't be able to do that with my Nikon D70 -- it would get too noisy.
Have you tried GREYCstoration (http://www.greyc.unicaen.fr/~dtschump/greycstoration/, command line - but free utility) or noise ninja or neat image to remove the rest of the noise from the image.
Hi Jan,
It is the capture that makes your photo eye catching and powerful. I made a workshop on this, my version I hope you like it too. Cheers always.
Thanks/Salamat,
Jeffrey
