[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Tables and chairs, shapes and colours, texture and depth, black and white, large and small - at the end of the day everything just complements everything else. And when you have spent the better part of an evening experimenting with filters and coloring and desaturation and you can't decide which one you like best, you throw them all into a pot and serve a stew called Tables and chairs. I know that Marco will say it sucks. Are there any other honest friends out there?

At least it'll make another contribution to the collage theme group.

I can relate to your note Per. I have spent hours trying to make a picture look better and better with all the trickery of PP but sometimes It just won't turn out right.

I like your creation here, starting as a drawing then showing progressive development via the insets to a colour image. Good creativity

John

Good imagination. I like the black and white background.

You wanted an honest opinion, so here goes... I like the concept very much. The background is perfect and so is the insert on the bottom. I like that insert because of the pale colours and the strong outlines. The placement is good, but perhaps move it down a touch so that the space at the bottom matches that of the side, and then add a 'stroke' frame around it. I think I'd have left out the other two inserts though. It sort of makes the collage too busy. After saying all that, are you still my friend. BTW, the overall composition is excellent.

Per for me the shot really works, the component parts are not that thrilling but when they are merged it has produced and excellent image. Not too keen on the frame though.

I always give my honest opinion, Per. For me the collage looks a bit messy. Maybe, but I'm not entirely sure, because you just put the little pictures on top of the background, no little framing, no shadow, no nothing.
Frankly, I'd have shown only the background picture. I really like that, nice shapes and great pp work on it. Of the three little pics, I like the picture in the right best, for the same reasons as Diana.
Anyway, TFS.

Re-bonjour Per!
Mis à part le fait que tu démontres une excellente maitrise des PP, tu as réussi un joli travail, intéressant, créatif et original!
Cela me semble à un tableau .. un tableau que l'on place dans les beaux restaurants!
Bravo!

Hi, I actually think this is an interesting idea! I think would like it even better if the areas of different filters were close-ups... like if you had kept the original image and then just run the filter on portions of it.... I don't know if I'm making sense or not, but anyway, I do like your idea and I think it definitely adds interest to an otherwise ordinary shot.

Thanks for sharing!

Erin
