It has been such a beautiful and warm summer 2006 so far. And there has unfortunately not been time for TrekLens. But with evenings such as these, who can wonder? July on the coast in Denmark was magical and I think I captured just a small portion of that magic in this shot. So I simply had to share this midnight scenery with you.

I'll be back for lots more - and lots of critiques - when the evenings get shorter and colder.

Tecnically I liked the original so much that I went for a large post. My second ever only. But I may have to work a bit more on it.

Welcome back, Per, and what a beautiful picture you are coming back with. The large version is very good (but I saw a few white dust spots in the sky). Nicely composed with the boats on each side and the row of red cabins in the middle. Beautiful colours. Well done!

Beautiful panoramic shot Per, excellent compo and reflections.. good job

Lindo paisaje, excelente definición, muy bien los reflejos.
Felicitaciones.
Saludos,

Hi Per,
Great panorama and nocturnal shot. I know what you mean witht the activity, I have the same problem. I like the composition and the scenery a lot. I would recommend to use a slightly shorter shutter speed and a smaller aperture. The street lights are a tad too bright and the DOF too small. But besides that a awsome photo.
TFS,
Niek

Beautiful image, Per... I like it very much. You know I love wide aspect shots, so thanks for this one.
I think the large version needs some more work indeed, like some NI and maybe cloning out the overexposed bright spot (Jupiter, perhaps?).
Anyway, TFS. Nice to see you haven't forgotten about TL ;o).

Hello Per!

Lovely mood captured here. For a midnight shot , you did pretty well. Love the reflections and tones.

Hope to see you more active soon. Cheers! and enjoy your summer in the meantime!

Hi Per,
Very nice night shot. The blue color even feels 'warm'. When looking at the large version it looks not totally sharp (the text on the boat on the rirht hand site) but wit an exposion of 4 sec. it is very hard to get it sharp. Overall it's a very nice photo. TFS!
Hans

FANTASTIC image!
Great colour achieved in low-light and the panaramic POV give a very special result with plenty of character.

Well done.
Best regards, Daniel
