I take it this kind of "double exposure" is allowed here on TL ;-)
This swan - even in double - looks so cute, but don't be mistaken about that.. The pose shown here was part of a scheme to scare me and my dog away, so this swan and its mate could get some peace and quiet for eating the bread I'd brought them. The show entailed making this pose with the neck bent and opening the bill to throw hissing noises at us, flapping the wings somewhat etc. etc.
In fact, I don't think the show was directed so much at me, rather they didn't like the fact that my dog was trying to get closer to "sniff them out" ;-). Well, I wasn't too keen on that either, as I had a very good idea what might happen, should he be stupid enough to get into pecking or flapping distance of the two, so I did my best to make him go back, and eventually he saw sense and withdrew..
For the swan photos was used exposure compensation of - 1/3 stop. Treatment: Crop, contrast, saturation, USM and resize to 400 px wide. Then add border right of 400, copy and mirror the selection to add it into the empty slot right.

Wow - It has been a real scoop if you realy had got two swans in this position - but ok noboby would had beleived you ;-)

Very well spotted - this beautiful heart shape. And yes - when I look at the neck it clear to that hes not happy - in fact angry. Very nice work Bente.

Apropriate for Valentine's day, but great enough to see it all year long. Beautiful!!

This cloning technique does make an attractive composition. I like the dark water in the background. Perahps remove the white spots on the water. Great details on the feathers and neck area. Well taken, and good post processing work. I like it a lot.

Nice work, a classic picture taken from a Disney film!

That heart is wonderful, Bente... It was a good idea to use symetry with this swan. Bravo!

absolument superbe! j'aime beaucoup ce genre de photo, belle symétrie!

Beautiful composition and good effect !
Congratulations !

the swan lake? great to be bringing food and just cast away afterwards! this swan is ill educated IMO ;-) LOL great shot anyway! it deserved a piece of bread afterall!

Thank you for telling me about the roundish spot. I just called the technician and he had told me how to get it off. Thanks again Ben.

At first I thought you were lucky to get this picture of two geese facing each other. Then after reading your note and looking at the geese's background, it was a copy vertical flip. Points for being creative Ben.

Wonderful shot, very sharp and detailed, the two contrasting colours certainly adds to the complete ambiance of the picture, the image also gives the impression of very strong confidence.
I like the mirroring effect giving it the beautiful heart shape.

Well done.

Lovely shot...composition couldn't be better. Eye to eye...in the form of a heart. Wow, this would make one great Valentine card!

Well done, I like your picture !
Bien réussi, j'adore ce cliché !

Well done! The heart in the middle made me think that with the Right red/pink background, this would make a nice Valentine's Day card. Anyone dares to try it in workshop?
