Nordre Roese Light tower.
The first one in Denmark, build directly on the ground in the sea. It was built in 1877 it is now 130 years old and is still in use. The light tower is located directly outside Copenhagen Airport in the belt “Oeresund” between Denmark and Sweden.
In the winter 1892/93 the foundation was serious damaged because of the heavy is in the belt, therefore the constructors was forced to change the construction to insure that the light tower would survive a hard is winter.
From the start the light tower was manned with 3 men, these men were on duty fore 7 days, before they were relieved. They stayed on the light tower day and night fore 7 days.
The light tower is now electrified so no persons is needed, the function is controlled from another light tower located in the southern part of “Oeresund” this light tower wits are much bigger is called “Drogden Fyr”.
It is sad but as you can see the light tower is now “destroyed” because of the installation of a radar mast.
The land you can see in the background is the island “Saltholm” a little tiny island the population is 2. The island belongs to Denmark, and behind “Saltholm” you will find Sweden.

Hiya Jens

Nice posting here, good POV and colour. I particularly like your framing that includes the detail and very interesting notes too.

TFS regards Helen

Hello Jens.
Your frame is an excellent creation around this interesting and old Lighttower.
Thanks for the description too. Good work on it.

Hello Jens,

Lovely colour and detail of the lighthouse.
I like the way you have framed it, it resembles a postcard!

Kind regards,
bev :-)

Hi Jens,
Nice POV and color though it's a little dimm by the rader and there is some dirt next to it. Above all I like the picture. TFS

Flemming

Hi Jens,
Let me be honest; it is not the best posting I have seen from you here on TL. In my opinion this picture isn't fully sharp neither the contrast looks good (too much) also the object is inthe center while a better composition would be more to the left or right. The subject is interesting though and might be nice when all camera settings are fine. Well I realize this is quite a harsh critique, and I don't wan't to discourage you cause you are a dedecated TL-member...so still a greeny for the effort you did :-)
Take care my friend!
Hans

Hi Jens. I must agree with Hans I am afraid. The colours are good, the framing and notes excellent but the image itself is lacking in sharpness and detail. Either a lot of camera movement or a cropping from a larger view. TFS,
David

Many thanks for your comment on ‘Harry Who? ’

Hello Jens I'm in agreement with Hans not your best but a fine subject keep clicking best rgds Necip.

A 2-person island - an unmanned lighthouse - cold and stormy weather - and a saying from JF maybe?
Lovely picture with very interesting frame - love the info included there - it is like maps - they give you an adventurous feeling - so are the co-ordinates here - make you want to travel.
