Dear TL members

We are still in “Dyrehaven”.
Dyrehaven is maintained as a natural forest, with the emphasis on the natural development of the wood over commercial forestry. Old trees are felled only if they are a danger to the public. It has herds of about 2000 deer in total, with 300 Red Deer, 1600 Fallow Deer and 100 Sika Deer. Dyrehaven is also the venue for the Eremitageløbet running race and the yearly Hubertusjagten hunt
(take a look at photos from “hansovic” Hans Laubel) which is held on the first Sunday in November. In former times it was home to the Fortunløbet race, later known as Ermelundsløbet, but this race was discontinued in 1960.
To feed all this animals especialy in the winter time, the caretakers has build a lot off feeding houses around in the forest, the areas around thise are good places to be if one want to see the deer.
This feeding house is build in 1923, so it is almost 100 yers old, and are still in a good shape.
In the top right corner I have placed a picture of the King Frederik III, ho was the king there estabilesed the first part of this huge park.

Speed 1/100
f. 7,1
ISO 400
Focal length 56 mm

PP work, light contrast adjusted, ad a little saturation, framed resized and posted for TL.

To see the feeding house from another angel, take a look at my workshop.

Hope you like it.
Will be back to morrow with a new photo from this magnificent place.
Have a great day.
Jens.

Hello Jens,

The original capture is superb in and of itself. The PoV and composition are very good, with the trunk of that old tree making a great frame on one side and the branches framing across the top.
I love the colours: very rich and true
And your final composition, with the royal portrait is very good. My one suggestion would be to increase the contrast on the portrait so that it is a bit clearer

Good one Jens, from the last 3 photo's this is better, still a litle more contrast is required, we normaly always have that with your nice photo's

Hi Jens,

Interesting to know the people at that time in doing thing . . and feeding animal by building this kind of house is real something to watch the reason of it . .
Well captured and composed . .
I learn one new thing today . .

Tfs,
Tjutjut

Many thanks for your kind words on New little friend .

Jens,
You would be honset in your critiques, also when you see something that is a little less, you would say.
If you DON'T do this.. your opinion would be less in value.
Friendships and being nice to each other has nothing to do with that.
Well you know the problem

Saying all this i have to conclude this is the best photo of the last 3 photo's.
Have a wonderfull day, I think , like us.. Danmark will have
a strong storm coming in from North west, like we will the coming days

I'm not too fond of the big frame, Jens. Just drop it ;o)).
But I always look beyond the frame, it's the picture that counts. And I do like that. Excellent colour saturation, the sun was in a very good angle here. Beautiful building too, it's nice that you included another view in the ws.
Did you consider cropping just a bit from the bottom? Where the shadows seem to drop in an abyss, I mean ;o)? Difficult though, because perhaps you'd lose the bottom part of the tree.
Anyway, TFS!
