Water lights and Shadows.
Kings Dyrehaven is not only trees and open spaces, there is also a lot of water, streams and lakes.
This one is called “Mølleåen” and runs trough the forest in the northern end.

This photo is taken partly against the sun, a little more to the left and the whole photo would have been white.
Also here I had to fight against brightness and darkness in different parts of the photo.
Here is the final result hope you like it.

Speed 1/60 sec.
f. 5,6
ISO 200
Focal length 17 mm

PP work – light and contrast adjusted, cropped resized and posted for TL.

Have a nice day.
Jens.

Nice colours in the reflection of the water but the sky looks overexposed to me

Hello Jens,
Sometimes foggy sky would produce the clearest water reflection. This is well captured. A pleasant fall scene. Greetings! Danilo

uhmm yes.. a little bit extraexposed.. but it'snt an error!!! my opinion!! great reflection in the water!! great mood!! bravo!
ciao Marco

HI Jens,
This is a beautiful place and the composition is very good with these reflections. To shoot against the light is not easy, so you did the best in these harsh conditions. Just for my pleasure a make a workshop in sepia tones. I find that the mood is appropriated for that. Please tell me what you think. Bravo! Annie

Hello Jens
The lower water part is realy excellent
john

I really like the composition and the colours in the reflections. Shooting against the sun is a tricky business! I hope you don't mind a little workshop?

Hi Jens,
Nice photo and nice reflections. I just think that all the reflections and the narrow space, trees etc. gives the picture a dark and heavy look. The colors are great and the photo is very clear. TFS

Hi Jens :)
Very nice effect and reflections on this shot ! It seems unreal, vivid colours ... i like the blurred top and the sharpness of the other part, very well seen :)

great reflection and a very nice image ...

Hello Jens.
You found a great location and captured it well from a good POV. It's a lovely image. I would suggest cropping a little of the over exposed sky to make it a little panoramic and keep the focus on the lake. Also I disagree with these borders that intrude into the image. I feel they spoil the thing you try so hard to capture. I'm no expert, that's for sure, but I'd suggest just a standard solid frame to be subtle and not distract from the most important part, the image itself. I hope this is helpful.
Best regards, Steve.

I repeat the comment of John Tulip.

Hello Jens,

I have just spent a little time this morning browsing and catching up with people as I just seem to be so busy at other times!

I like this shot in your gallery. Some have talked about over-exposure in the sky but, you know, there is a lovely glow centre right of the shot which compensates for any lack of sky colour! I love the reflections in the water! In fact, you could have cropped the sky off and your shot would have looked even better! Just try it!

Best wishes,
Bev :-)

Hi Jens,

beautiful place, beautifully spotted. Even if a little overexposed, still wonderful. tfs
