Good morning Jens,
They look like a pair, but when I watch duck-behaviour in spring it seems that every female is "attacked" by at least a few males at the same time. I sometimes try to break them up when it happens in front of our door - not that it helps much.
Here they peaceful float by side by side - a much better sight I can assure you.
