Hello Michael,
good and awful photo at the same time.
I guess I know why people leave all the windows closed (locked) when they leave their pet alone in their car. They are afraid their car may be stolen (if you leave a window even slightly open a thief can easily open the door and get away with the car).
People feel much more sorry for the stolen car than for the life of an animal. The car costs much more than the life of a dog...
.. and each day this situation is getting worse.
