[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Well, here's one that I haven't been able to show on TE on account of it being a violation of the TOS..
However, I'd like to present "the real Milloup", the one whose name I've annexed and used on TE, my beloved and faithful dog. 8 years old by now, and you'd expect him to have grown more sedate and quiet by now, but this is not the case in all situations. When I took up my new interest in photography and started roaming around waterways and waterholes, the dog who'd always taken a detour to avoid getting his feet wet at all costs suddenly took to bathing in brooks and waterholes, the more muddy and stinking, the better ;-)
This photo was taken the day before New Year, and even though the sun was out, so was the wind and the cold, and the temperature was somewhere around zero. As you can see, this in no way made the Viking hold back, he just *had* to get his feet wet..
Treatment: Crop, contrast +10, saturation +10, USM and resize.
PS Had no idea which category to select, so selected Daily Life as "the closest match" ;-)

What a great idea to show the "real milloup" here, I always wondered what the meaning of your nickname might be, Bente ;-) Even though I'm not a dog person, I have to say he looks beautiful here and like quite a character (also based on your note). His color looks beautiful in that kind of light, and the reflection is a nice treat, too. That way, the glimmer in his eyes is actually seen twice. Beautiful shot of the viking.

Amazing colors you've managed to capture and/or to work it out!!! Excelent!

It is a beautiful animal, I am satisfied to meet it. The light here is beautiful and the magnificent reflection, the well saturated colours. Good shot!

C'est une belle bête, je suis contente de le rencontrer. La lumière ici est belle et le reflet magnifique, couleurs bien saturées. Bien fait.

He's gorgeous, and here in his element is a perfect place to pose, IMHO. I love the colors and the detail in the reflections.

Beautiful dog well reflected in the water Bente. His ears and tail indicate he is alert and very much aware of his surroundings.

Very attractive low light on his fur, and the reflection is wonderfully sharp. Well done Bente...
I have began a Dog Theme as my own Dashund is already on TL, so Milloup oughts to be on it too.

Ah, Bente, this it what causes all those mallards to fly up!! ;-) Your beloved dog! He's lovely! Beautiful picture with a nice refelection. Well seen.

Thanks for sharing this :-)

Colours and contrast look fantastic and composition is very good! The dog is well sharped and i also like the excellent reflections on the water! Seems to be a powerfull dog this one whose name as been associated with some excellent pictures on TE without his knowledge :)

Wow, fantastic colors, and the reflection doesn't take to much of the attention - great !
