[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This one is shot near Türisalu cliff in Harjumaa, norhtern Estonia. I hold the feather by the hand against the sun and tried several shots with different exposures. Since the sun was going down and it was really getting dark I had to use tripod. Although the wind was pretty heavy I'm happy with the result and think I managed to get a pretty stable shot. Of course, since I was holding the ferather by the hand and did not want to leave the hand on the picture the composition was an issue. Postprocessing: crop, resize, added thin black frame.

Very nice picture. The texture of the feather is enhanced by the sun light. I am wondering if the depth of field would have been improved by closing down the aperture, with the use of a high sensitive film such as 800 ASA, even if this film would be a little bit grainy ??

Welcome to TL Tannar...
nice and strong shot...
colours are clear and clean...
thank you for sharing this beautiful photo and,
bravo...

I must agree with previous praises. It really is a very nice photo. Warm and beautiful. As I see you used f-stop 8.0 and exposure time was 1/125sec and ISO raring 200. So even without necessarily changing ISO to 800 there was still some room fordeepr depth of field. And as I use the same camera model I know that Pentax *ist DS' grain is quite acceptable at ISO800. But that was just a theoretical point. Because I'm quite happy with your results as it is - the edges of the feather blend nicely in with the background. Anyway, good job!

Warm colors and delicate shapes make the atmosphere. I like the edges are out of focus.
Well realised and effective. I'm thinking about the area where the sun goes through... A pity the tones are not so smooth there but I think it's a case of great contrast. Anyway - wery good work.

Flaming feather - crisp on details and dramatic in its impact. Quite and unusual way of catching the sun. Well done Tannar and welcome to TL.

Une plume en or comme première photographie ... c'est fantastique.
Welcome / bienvenu sur TL.

Hi Tannar, a very creative idea! Must do it myself on day, very nice colors and sharpness. The angle of the feather is also very nice in your composition.
Good work, Richard

Hi Tannar. Nice pic. I'm surprised that the top of the feather is already a bit blurry even at f/8.

Wow I'm completely dazed and mesmerized by the Pov and the lighting/texture the sunlight thtough the feather looks. I'm sure it would be hard but if you could get a picture of the feather a little farther like almost falling in the wind it would be amazing.
Love TFS
