[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
It's a lily, shot in my room. So, here's the story... My previous camera was Pentax ME Super with super carenar mc 3,5-4,3 f=35-100mm lens. Well, couple of years ago the camera fell down and the lens were broken. Now I'm shooting with Pentax *istDS. So what I did with this shot was that I took a magnifying lens from my old lens and hold in fron of my current Pentax DA 18-55 lens to get more macro look :)
Unfortunately I don't have macro lens yet, so it served as kind of "poor man's macro. No postprocessing done except resize and slight unsharp mask after that.

It is quite surprising to make such close up without having a macro lens. The effect is great anyway. You managed to have most of the pistils in focus. Well done.

The lighting is PERFECT and I personally like how the focus is better on some pistols rather than all. It gives it a more interesting look. It's such a close up. wow. good job!

Great job!!!!
I'm really surprised that by holding some magnifying lens in front of ordinary lens creates such a pleasing result. R
eally, your "poor man's macro" :) works better than someone's really expensive piece of equipment. Applause!
If to look for something that could be improved - I would like to see the very tip of the central stamen to be in focus.
However - great job!

Excellent! With me you are one about FIVE other Pentax DS owners among thousands of owners of the both pro brands ending with "on"...
Anyway - you have taken a beautiful macro with excellent sharpness and great compo... I love the light and shadow areas, the colours,too...
Well done!
Frank

Wow that quite amazing. I love the way the pollen glimmers in the sunlight on the pedals.
GREAT POV!
