This is lake Pühajärve in South East Estonia, a region where Estonia is a bit more "montaneous" in contrast to the rest of the country. Lake Pühajärve fascinates me since I got to know it in 2005. It has a bit a mystic atmosphere maybe supported by a tale of a woman who drowned there because of an unhappy love, and now rumors say she pulls every year a man under water who is swimming in this lake.Actually obviously some casualties occurred to men who drowned in this lake. But ok, this photo was taken in a late summer night at midnight and full moon, with slight wind who pushed the clouds and sounds of some night active animals..so that I could feel very intensively all this mystic energy of this place.
To take this photo was not easy bec. I had no stative with me, I had to accept the help of a tree near shore. But for me the lack of a stative results in a more authentic atmosphere of this photo which would be different and for me less intensive if the photo would be clear and sharp in every detail. |
