Carol,
Extremely effective. The birds - tiny though they may be in the overall frame - really do add a fantastic sense of movement to the shot. How different it would be without them!

It seems almost routine (for many) to say "good composition" in response to every photo but here, I feel, it's the absolute truth.

Great use of fog! I like how the rocks float in the nothingness along with the birds. The reflections help us understand the presence of the water, but otherwise there seems to be no context:) Super!

Hello Carol

This is a superb shot, very simple and understated and yet full of character. Nice lighting and neat framing that is not overstated which would spoil the simplicity here. yes indeed the rocks do seem to be floating and also the gulls are floating in the air.

Hi Carol,
I really like this picture for its simplicity and clean lines. The colour scheme has a soothing effect and the composition is superb. I'd call it an artwork rather than a photograph. The birds which are small in size and lighter in colour complement the rocks perfectly, and the slight blur gives a sense of motion. A perfect performance, well done.
