[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Now that springtime is all around us and Central Europe is bursting with green leaves and birds singing all over the place, it all of a sudden becomes difficult to remember a typical dull grey winter's day where a single seagull winging its way over a frozen harbour is a small sign of life in the middle of a deepfrozen landscape. I prepared this shot (which might as well be in black and white for all the colour it offers) back when I had just been to Helsinki in mid-March. But it is only now that I can look at it and suddenly realise why I took it - and why photographs are nice to take out again after a while.

The photo was taken from Helsinki looking out over the harbour to the island. I used full 10x zoom.

Hi Per,

Thanks for the reminder. It's nice to have spring with all it's beauty.
You captured a dull day and you presented it well. Excellent composition.
I did a w.s. for you.

Yep, b&w does look better, Per. Even though I still consider myself to be a colour kind of guy, I have to admit that sometimes b&w works better...
Still, the sight is lovely, the gull over that large patch of frozen water...
