Collective taking off, another possible title for your charming picture, simple and majestic at the same time.
I read some people thaught about Hitchock movie, but I disagree: I find here we have a lot of calm and truthfulness in the movement of birds, while in the movie there was painful and sick mood.
Anyway, the shot is very well taken: according to the notes, don't know if and how much PP you did.
Yes or not, colors and atmosphere are pretty fantastic!

Wow Carol! Talk about birds! Perhaps this is where Alfred Hitchcock came up with the idea for the movie "The Birds".

I like the lighting, the flock of birds, and the all around composition. It's amazing how you captured them in one area together, leaving room for the sky at the top. Neat!

Wow! What a shot! It is simply beautiful. I'm a fan of mist photos (among other things) and this one is excellent. I love the mysterious quality of mist and it is emphasised by the excellent perspective with the lines of posts, gradually disappearing into nothingness. The clarity and stillness of the water is amazing. Looking at this I can imagine the sounds of the riotous birds, the creaking boats and the water lapping against them. It is a perfect composition, very well done!
