Koivuja - Birches - Bouleau
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
There is a special mood in birch forest both in summer and winter. These types of forest were common in Finland after forest burns. They are the first tree to occupy an empty space. They are also common in lake and river shores.
In this photo you can see birches near the mouth of river Pielisjoki in sunset.
Emphasized the tones with Gimp. No cropping and no tripod. Just the camera in my pocket when passing by.
Country name in Finnish and the word "koivu" (birch) in each language:
Bulgaria бреза
Viro kask, kõiv
Englanti birch
Espanja abedul, aliso blanco
Esperanto betulo
Italia betulla
Latina betula
Latvia bērzs
Liettua beržas
