You have achieved what the title says, looks very narrow, only unfortunate thing about this shot is the colour, sky & walls have very similar colours and looks a bit pale, b&w may be an option..

This has potential to make a great photo, the subject matter really makes me feel claustrophobic. May I suggest you return and explore it in different times of the day, or night.

I like this image. The lamps give perspective. I am left thinking about what may be at the top of the street but out of site. I do not think the wheelie bin detracts from the image; that is real life and I on't think we should air-brush everything out of reality.
