Take a break my friend

Yesterday night, I read the note of the (temporarily) last posting of my dear TL-friend John Tulip. He made the decision to retreat a while from TL. It's a sad, but understandable and wise decision! Nevertheless I will miss him here on TL. His comments often full with humor, are greatly appreciated and not only by myself. From this place in Haarlem I wish John all the best and hope to see him back in a few weeks. As these two young people: take a seat in a park; enjoy the view and forget TL for a while!

Boy I made a nasty mistake with the word "brake", it should read "break", please foregive me my pour English, particular in the early morning my (English) spelling is soooo poor. I can change the tile on TL not in the frame of the picture. But I won't remove it, I think everybody knows what is meant. (Maybe I have to take a break too!)

A stupid Dutchy :-)

Idyllic and relaxing. Lovely softness and beautiful composition, especially with the natural framing of those trees.

I echo your sentiments about John, he has been an inspiration and a mentor to many and his presence will be missed.

Beautiful work, thank you for sharing it
Rew

Hans, a perfect picture to wish John a more relaxing time - if you are that involved with TL then it is going to be a second job.
You did a great job Hans, with both picture and note.
Thanks
Els

We will forgive you dear Hans...No worries! :-)

I love the framing of this photo (within the photo) of the two trees and the leaves at the top...you handled the light factor very well here.

It certainly is a peaceful setting you have captured Hans, lovely colours in those trees too.

A nice thought for Johnny.

Cheers
Dawn

Hi Hans :o)
I forgive of course ... a nice view for saying John he will miss us. Hope to see him back soon.
But sometimes it's necessary to take a break, in order to come back better. Keep the pressure John !
Thanks Hans for this strong thought towards our friend.

The nature has already made a frame, so you could have savet some work, never the les, it is a great photo, well presented, great POV and COMP. Well done my friend TFS
Jens.

Hoi Hans,
Groeten,
Niek

What a great tribute Hans. A real good image.

Love the composition with the two trees to either side of the frame so tall and bold. The greens of the trees and the grass gel lovely and I love the scattering of people laying around the grounds. Well done Hans, and BTW your "poor English is much better than my Dutch!

Bonsoir Hansie,

beautiful dedicasse for our so dear friend John.
A park to come to relax there, to slacken, find there peace and the force to return one day, as soon as possible if it wishes it towards us.
I like the two tree trunks and their foliage which make a natural frame with your photography. Dark worm clearness, it's all that one can wish for our friend John.

Hi Hans,

Yes, it is a pity that John is moving away from the TL world. But good to hear he keeps on shooting and posting his shots elsewhere. I'll surely keep on watching his work.

Nice see-through between the trees. Love all the various greens, the yellow flowers and the purple-ish tree in the background. Nice compo!

Greetings, Dennis

Hey Hans

and no worries about the typo.. we all make them.. happy you kept the post :)

I like how the 2 trunks contribute to the frame. The bench deliver a sentiment of relaxing well... Stop the time! Like if we were on the bench too we can see the rest of the scene. Nicely catch!

Good idea to frame the people with the trees, nice contrast and details I like the diffused light with good level of detail in the shadows tfs rgds Necip

Yeah, we all know what you meant. Funny, I had made the same misstake in past as well. Then I also mislabeled one of my pictures in the frame. This is a nice mood picture - the two trees framing it in perfectly to the point where the actual frame almost seems redundant.
Cheers
Otto

Hi Hans,
A very relaxed and very relaxing picture. A perfect mood created here and a wonderful composition with nice light and shade and plenty of summer colour.
Well done!
Best wishes
