D-DAY
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
Today is D-Day.
I think it's good to remember those very young men who died for our freedom. Here you see one of the crosses at the cemetary in Colleville, Normandy.
It's a silent remembrance for a young guy, who was a radio operator in a C47 plane, that crashed at D-Day in Picauville. I did some searching on the Internet to personalize this name. I didn't find much, but I found another remembrance monument of the planecrash (see my workshop here).
Dedicated to Clarence A. Reverski, his family and all the soldiers who gave their live for our freedom. Let's not forget ! |

Hoi Marcel,
Zeker zeer passelijk. Ik heb nog een aantal foto's te gaan van de graven van Margraten. Een mooie strakke foto, met een zeer goede betekenis. Volgens mij heb je er nog wel iets aan gedaan om de foto zo schoon te krijgen, en dat pas perfect.
Groeten,
Niek

photo pleine d'histoire ! c'est un bel hommage a travers votre photo , bravo
Good evening Marcel,
time passes and since the commemorations of the sixty anniversary of the Normandy landing of June 6 1944, I find that this great moment which was as the high wind of freedom is forgotten a little.
And that afflicts me. The cemetery Omaha beach of Colleville on sea is certainly most imposing and more moving, but throughout France, one reads signs which takes us along towards cemeteries, where men and women are buried after having to leave their life so that we, we are free men and women.
Photography very sober, very beautiful and it's what makes its intensity.
TFS, Corinne
