Gold Beach, near Arromanches-sur-Mer, Normandy. These stones in the sea behind the filed are 'Mulberry Harbours'. After D-Day, this was the site of transporting machines, materials at the Normandian brigdehead.
A Mulberry harbour was a type of temporary harbour developed in World War II to offload cargo on the beaches during the Allied invasion of Normandy. Two prefabricated or artificial military harbours were taken across the English Channel from Britain with the invading army in sections and assembled off the coast of Normandy as part of the D-Day invasion of France. |

Hello Kristof,
Nice view. Fine captured a sky texture.
Malik & Mary.
Hey,
Jolie photo, très belle vue qui me rapelle mes dernière vacance en normandie... Je trouve que les couleurs pourrait être un peu plus vive, mais se n'est qu'un avis personnel!
Merci de partager.
Amitiés,
Less
