the city of Caen is so proud of - the one thousand years old castle and the old, medieval town. Very nice, not to mention many interesting churches and abbeys.

interesting place this is.


you could try taking a photo of the castle from another angle, like from the ground looking up so as to give emphasis to the size of the castle, or to take a shot from farther back to show the entirety of the castle in all it's beauty.

for shots like these smaller apertures of f8.0 above might work better to produce better contrast and stronger shadows.
