[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note [French]
Overhanging the town of Etretat, in top of cliff of Downstream, one finds the Vault Notre Dame de la Garde.

This vault was built in 1854 in homage to the sailors by the Reverend Père MICHEL, Jesuit in Rouen. Destroyed during the conflict of 1939-45, it was rebuilt in the Fifty.

The sun lies down, giving to the vault this black color where one distinguishes than the silhouette of the tourists who contemplate the Vault and covers with gold, the slate of his roof.

I absolutely didn't carry out any work on this photography

What a delightful shot and totally lifted by the inclusion of the three silhouetted figures.


The composition is wonderful, good 'rule of thirds' with the steeple left of centre like that and I love the light glinting off the roof like that. Frame it, put it on your wall and be proud of it - lovely shot.

Bonsoir Corinne,
Fort contre-jour bien efficace avec ce sujet. Très bon dans la composition la présence des personnages. Ça crée le contexte. Malgré la forte luminosité de la zone claire, on distingue quand même des nuances. Pas évident. Bien vu !

bien belle cette photo et assez étonnante,mais dis donc cocotte, tu parles du père michel, mais moi j' ai toujours entendu dire < la mère michel> même qu' elle avait perdu son chat, je crois bien même qu'il était sur le toit de l' église de la GARDE!!!!

pas drole d' avoir 55 balais, tu crois pas ma cocotte, ça va t'a encore 10 ans devant oti, oufffffffff
