[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note [French]
When my mother planted this year, this seedling of dahlia, the description which was given by it, was a white dahlia which had developed on approximately 50 to 60 cm height and to give small flowers. And well, when I saw it, it made more 1 meters 20 height, had given five flowers but that of which I present the heart into macro to you had, we measured it a honourable diameter of 30 cm. I know that it has an over-exposure on the top on the left, but I couldn't make another photography bus of it when one thus wanted to measure it, the stem broke under the weight of the flower, although we put it in a vase, I couldn't find the same conditions of natural light as when it was outside. It's not either of a perfect white, I would say cream rather but that doesn't anything of its beauty to him.

I thus decided after the usual adjustments in PP of light, contrasts, clearness, to make him a framing in the tonalities of sepia which I find emphasize it, but with you to judge.

You know the origins of this flower and from which its name comes? If you want to know them, you will have only to read the following note.

"The king clad of splendour" (nickname)
On the high plateaus of current Mexico, the Aztec ones used this plant in their gardens and ritual religious.

Named « chichipatli », Francisco Hernandez mention its existence in the gardens created by the Aztec emperor Moctezuma (1466-1520).
In homage to the Swedish botanist Andréa Dahl (1751-1789), the name of dahlia was given by Antonio- Cavanilles, director of the Botanical garden of Madrid and corresponding member of the institute of France.

This plant with tubercular patients roots and decorative flowers of the family of made up, was introduced in Europe in its shape with small simple flowers (Dahlia Coccinea, Dahlia Pinnata and Dahlia Merckii)

The first cultivated dahlias were quite different from those which we know today. The European nursery gardeners realized that this kind could easily change form and color.

As from this moment, one saw appearing in Europe, the group of the "balls" of globular and rigid form.

The Germans miniaturized this group to offer in their turn, the pompoms: flowers doubles, in the shape of "ball", with the petals very tight. The French hybrideurs presented the dahlias "flanges".
Then, with its long petals rolled up on themselves, pointed at the end, appeared the elegant and original forms dahlia cactus.

The flowers can measure to 35 cm and their foliages varying of the green tone to crimson.

Today the hybrideurs present varieties at the varied and subtle colours which are incorporated well in all the styles bouquets.

In the language of the flowers, its presence expresses the recognition and the thanks for the assistance or the support which one received.

The opulent and generous flower of the dahlia, being declined in a great number of colours and nuances, makes the happiness of the concerned florists of the colours of a bouquet or a composition.

But this flower is fragile with cold of the winter, then think if you wish to be able to benefit from it the summer following As of first frozen, tears off the stocks carefully, removes the surplus of ground while trying to release the collets (to decrease the risk of rot of the collet in winter), and returns them in a room not heated where the temperature doesn't go down below 0°C and where it hardly goes up above 12°C.
Next spring, separate the stocks by leaving a fragment from collet on each glare and replant. You can proceed to this operation as of the autumn, but it's easier on dry stocks. You set out again here for a springtide. If very happened well, you multiplied the number of your dahlias by four or five.

It will soon only remain you to repurchase the garden of the neighbor to have sufficient place... ;ODD

Il se dégage une grande élégance de ta présentation. Cette déclinaison de blancs aux multiples nuances est fort plaisante à l'oeil. Bravo! Annie

Coucou mon amie Cokky :-)
Missed this one almost (shame on the Baron) and I shouldn't!
Superb idea, I know it is hard to get everything right in such a picture tending to OE and blurrines, considering the circumstances you managed it well. The left upper corner does have some OE, nevertheless the way you presenting the core of the white flower in the excellent frame is magnificent.
Super posting my dear, chapeau!
Amitiés,
Hans

Bonjour Corinne,

Cordialement
Jean-Michel
