"France" The biggest liner of all time was thrown in 1960 after 4 years of building in Saint-Nazaire and made its first trip in 1962. Affected until 1972 on the line The Havre - New York, it made 2 towers of the world then in 72 and 73.
But, in October, 1974, the Transatlantic General Company had to withdraw it from service for lack of money.
The ship remained left in the Havre until 1979, date of its redemption by Norwegian owner of a shipping company who made it transform for 70 million dollars in Bremerhaven (Germany) and reappointed it Norway. 2 bridges were topped up to him in 1990.
