[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Le château de Gisors, situé dans le Vexin normand, est bâti sur une motte féodale. Il est constitué d'un donjon circulaire qui fut ajouté à une forteresse déjà existante.
Essentiellement l’œuvre des ducs de Normandie du XIe au XIIe siècle, cette forteresse frontalière devait défendre le domaine anglo-normand contre les prétentions du roi de France.
