Implantée dans un site préservé, au milieu d'étangs et de forêts, Royaumont , fondée par Saint Louis en 1228, est la plus vaste abbaye d'Ile de France.
Environnée de ruisseaux et proche d'une réserve ornithologique, l'abbaye de Royaumont a été édifiée dans une environnement protégé façonné par les moines, remarquablement préservée elle se dresse encore aujourd'hui au coeur des marais et des forêts.

Very serene and pretty. Nice play of light and dark, and an excellent composition and point of view.
The placement of the tree on the right just leads the eye right into the core of the shot.

Bonjour Laurent,
Belle composition avec ces jeux d'ombre et de lumière. L'arbre en avant plan semble habillé d'un treillis de camouflage ! Est-il vraiment essentiel ?

Très beau site. Il s'en dégage un atmosphère de calme. Belle composition avec le platane en premier plan et cette architecture d'une autre époque. Cette abaye'fondée par mon ancêtre sans doute (LOL) a su garder son cachet unique blottie au fon des bois. Beau jeu de lumière et d'ombre et un crop qui en met plein la vue.
Agréable à voir.

Hi Laurent, I was really attracted to this shot. I think it was the depth seen in the old building and the tree on the right partially framing the picture. This is perfect evidence that one does not have to have bright saturated pictures to have a great shot. Very nicely done. You have good taste in muted colors. Cheers. Roger
