Caterpillar
Not so often used synonym for larva of Lepidoptera ; body soft and elongate; head small but well-defined, comprising a highly sclerotized head capsule, a pair of short antennae, several small ocelli and biting mouthparts; thorax bearing 3 pairs of very short segmented legs, the terminal segment being provided with a claw; upper part of 1st thoracic segment called prothoracic plate; abdomen usually bearing 5 pairs of prolegs on segments 3 to 6 and on 10, each provided with crochets.

A nice shot.
The tones of colour are excellent and good composition also.
Excellent,well done.

Good DOF and lovely contrast of colours. The way that its tail end is curved almost gives the illusion that the catepillar is dangling from the very top edge of the leaf. Nice capture!

I feel like I can reach out and pick the caterpiller right out of my monitor!
