[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Windmill of Achicourt, near Arras in the North of France. The original wood windmill was built out of wood around 1620 and rebuilt in stone in 1789, just before the Revolution. Destroyed in 1915, it was rebuilt once again in 1994.

Édifié en bois vers 1620, le moulin Hacart (du nom du propriétaire de l'époque), fut reconstruit en pierres en 1789, à la veille de la Révolution, puis détruit en 1915. En 1991, ses fondations sont remises au jour et l'association "La Tourelle" est créée pour refaire tourner ce moulin, reconstruit en 1994, avec le concours des habitants d'Achicourt et l'appui technique de l'ARAM, (Association Régionale des Amis des Moulins)

Le moulin actuel, en état de fonctionnement, perpétue la mémoire des activités maraîchères et agricoles d'Achicourt. C'est le seul rescapé des nombreux moulins qui existaient à Achicourt en 1790.

Très joli ce moulin surtout avec l'éclairage présent sur cette photo. J'aime la façon dont tu as cadré le tout.

Excellente composition pour cette photo Daniel! La lumière est très belle, projetant l'ombre des pales sur les briques réchauffées par le soleil. Sous le magnifique ciel nuageux, on dirait le moulin bâti sur un escarpement où il dominerait tout le paysage avoisinant. Très réussi! Bravo! Annie

fantastic capture of the windmill, one of the best windmill shots I've seen up to now. give yourself a pat on the back. flip this one horizontal and will have even more punch
