Tradition and modernity stand one next to the other, peacefully within the years, compromised in their existence. The old light-house and the modern radar that controls the ships and ferries crossing the Manch Channel. The "Βunkers", remains of the brutality of World War I, stare at them, unarmed and flourished.
Απέναντι από τα Στενά της Μάγχης, η αντίθεση του παραδοσιακού φάρου με το μοντέρνο ραντάρ, που ελέγχει τα πλοία που καθημερινά διέρχονται το πέρασμα. Η συμφιλίωση, υποχρεωτική, ήρθε με τον χρόνο, δαμαστή των πάντων, για να ενώσει τις αγέρωχες μοναξιές τους. Απέναντί τους στέκουν τα γερμανικά "Bunker", απομεινάρια του Α' Παγκοσμίου Πολέμου, ξαρμάτωτα πια και φυτρωμένα, να ατενίζουν τις ακτές της Αγγλίας.. |
