Nice pictyure, I wish I could read more explanation on how you did it. I presume you had a spot light on the top heading towards the bottom ?

nice and simple.
2 ways to improve maybe:
- crop on the top: you should not crop but leave more space for the smoke to "escape" from the frame
- composition: i think you could enlarge the composition and move away from the center

Très esthétique cette fumée, le fond noir et uni permet de bien détacher cette volute de fumée.
Peut être j’aurais cadré plus haut, le haut de la fumée est plus intéressant
