This is somewhere in the rain forests of Martinique. It's been a long while since we were there, but I vividly remember the lush greenery and flowers.
I finally replaced my scanner and was looking through the photo album of the cruise we took and found quite a few nice photos. Although the photo has faded a bit, the scan came out pretty well IMO. It's VERY difficult to remove the photos from the album intact.
This was taken with my Pentax K1000 35mm film camera and I'm sorry, but I don't remember any of the settings.
Thanks for viewing and have a great Friday. |

Hi Werner!
I think this looks good for a scanned photo. The entire scene is interesting to me. I like the variety of plant-life, and sizes of the rocks. I even like the depth where the landscape opens up at the top of the photo.
I've never been to France, but visited a rain forest in Puerto Rico; however, I didn't take photos back then.
It's Friday Werner! We made it.

Hi Werner
This has a reddish magenta colour cast. I may try a quick workshop. I had the same problem with my paper prints changing color, too. Tfs. Have a great weekend!
Hi Werner,
A beautiful place. Rainforests are so interesting, I would love to visit this place. Excellent work for a scanned photo almost 30 years ago! I hope you don't mind if I try a workshop on this. Thanks for sharing and have a nice weekend, Julie
I saw your shot and immediatelythought about a workshop to correct the colour I got called away continued with the worshop and posted to find I had been beaten to it not once but twice :-) Colour folm tends to fade a little over time and certain brands of film had a slight colour cast to start with Scanner make their own contribution also A good processing program is helpful therefore Interesting view of an interesting place TFS
warm regards
David
PS I still posted my workshop if you like to check it out :-)(and composre it to the others
I can't help it to smile by reading your note, "fading a bit"? "scan came out pretty well"? Oh well, it's nice to see that there is still "hope" in this world...))
I don't know how to make a accurated review, of this shot. Was propably over exposed to start with, and your color print decay, probably brought out more of that magenta cast.
Scene and composition is nice tho.
I've done a workshop on it, using the addind technique, instead of the subtrating one. Check it out. I think it came out "pretty good",,,)))))))
